Jake Jones

Jake Jones, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Gravity Companies, oversees strategic planning, providing clients with a sophisticated arsenal of services. He has extensive experience specializing in corporate advisory services, strategic real estate planning and development.  Jake is also a partner in the firm’s development arm, Gravity Development. It is Jake's understanding of complex real estate and development transactions that allows him to provide an invaluable perspective to development projects and his clients. 

Before co-founding Gravity Companies, Jake was a Principal at Avison Young for 20 years, where he specialized in representing both Private and Public Sector tenants assisting them with acquisition, lease negotiation, and restructure in addition to various build-to-suit development projects. During his time at Avison Young, he was involved in over $2.5 billion dollars of real estate transactions and consulting projects. He began his professional career with Withers Ravenel, Inc., a civil engineering firm headquartered in Cary, NC where his primary focus was on residential and commercial site planning and design.  In 2003, he transitioned to his real estate career and is a licensed broker in the State of North Carolina. Jake is a graduate of North Carolina State University and has a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
